Kirtan, or devotional chanting is an ancient Indian practice. Bhakti, is a path into the heart. Together this night we will create a doorway to heaven and it is sure that the entire city will benefit from it. In a temple-like venue with carpets and cushions on the floor you are invited to settle in and get to a peaceful  place in your heart. You might want to offer a flower to the altar or drop your sacred item to get it charged with ecstatic vibrations . Our minds will be swept empty while repeating the holy names and this will brings us to the core of our heart. 

Vijay Krishna, band leader of KIRTANIYAS is a devotional kirtan singer, multi instrumentalist, yoga philosopher and producer. He grew up in a Vedic culture of song, dance, philosophy and devotion in the UK, India and  travelled many countries together with his talented wife Sarasvati. Vijay Krsna composes phenomenal hybrids of traditional Sanskrit mantras and kirtan with cross-cultural musical influences.

Citralekha dasi is a dedicated practitioner of bhakti yoga and the founder of Vedic Essence – a school for Vedic and yogic philosophy. Through her teachings, she shares wisdom on topics such as life purpose, the cycle of karma, the yoga path, self-realization, and the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. She also offers yoga classes where she gently guides students toward deeper layers of their being – from body to soul.

Her poetry collection, “Surrender of the Heart” , originated during a world journey through many spiritual traditions in search of deeper meaning in life. That quest led her to the path of bhakti yoga, where she found profound purpose through devotion and connection with God, Krishna.

A central part of the bhakti yoga tradition is mantra chanting – sharing transcendental sound vibrations to cleanse the heart and mind and reconnect with one’s soul and God. With her harmonium and mrdanga, Citralekha travels to various places across and beyond Europe, offering mantra concerts and wisdom with the intention to inspire and enrich others on their spiritual path.
