On May 19, a special edition of Pllek Nightclubbing: Pushin Wood is coming to town with their dance night PUSH IT, and it promises to be a hot evening! DJ Tahira from Sao Paolo is stopping by to celebrate the release of his new single “Turma da Bênção Apresenta”. This release will be celebrated not once, but twice: on May 19 at Pllek Amsterdam and on May 20 at Vera Groningen. iZem from Montpellier, France completes the lineup, and Mano from Mano A Mano Productions/Africadelic Festival is celebrating his birthday, and you can be there!

PUSHIN WOOD

Perhaps you remember their previous King’s Day editions or when Pushin Wood came by with GUTS. They feel right at home at Pllek and keep coming back. They have become a household name for everyone who loves discovering new music. Their sets are lively and always full of originality. In addition to their monthly dance nights in Groningen (which are consistently sold out and have featured more than 100 artists!), they now also host their own radio station where you can listen to non-stop music from their studio and record collection.

iZEM

A morning person at heart and a studio beast with iron discipline. iZem aka Jeremy knows how to deliver music that always leaves you wanting more. His music has that modern global sound with rich flavors from all continents, which you can hear in his numerous productions and remixes released in recent years. His album was released by Soundway, following his remix of Quantic. iZem has his second album on the shelf, almost ready, and he hopefully will give us a preview at Pllek.

TAHIRA

As a music lover, you can’t escape the fact that there is endless music to discover in Brazil. Tahira is the musical guide through all corners of this large country and knows how to grab and surprise you with authentic rhythms and melodies time and time again. He invites you to go on an adventure and dances in his sets through the many tempos and styles that his rich culture has to offer. This way, he shows what is happening in contemporary Brazil and playfully combines it with the original music where those rhythms come from. Perhaps that’s why his DJ sets are always a pleasure to listen to and he’s the favorite DJ of many DJs.
