Mark Nieuwenhuis plays the trumpet and is a composer and sound technician. He released his album ‘Mark Nieuwenhuis’ in 2012 and also released 2 EP’s (Moves & Music for Museums).

His last work is inspired by his introduction with Greek music and culture. Especially the irregular metrum and lyrical melodies were a great source of inspiration for new compositions. The pieces are open to improvisation and there is freedom to experiment with the rythm.
