Guitarist, author, composer and performer, Malick DIAW is a Senegalese musician living in Paris. His music leans towards Afro-folk, mixed with Tuareg or Mandinka sounds, but also blues, rock and jazz. It oscillates between African and European rhythms and can be accompanied by percussion (djembe, sabar, calabash), bass, drums or even acoustic guitar and choirs.
Malick was influenced in his career by musicians like Ismael LO, Salif Keita, Ali Farka Touré and Youssou Ndour.
During his career he was able to accompany some stars of African music such as Ghalia Bénali (Tunisia), Les Tourée Kunda (Senegal), Mariém Hassan (Western Sahara) and Oumar Péne (Senegal)
