Guitarist Marnix DuCroock is the inventor of ‘psychedelic flamenco.’ When he heard Pink Floyd’s ‘The Division Bell’ at the age of four, he immediately knew he wanted to become a guitarist. His guitar teacher at the music school was a flamenco guitarist who had studied with Paco Peña. And so the flame began to burn…

In a unique way, Marnix blends flamenco techniques with his love for symphonic pop, subtly embedding the typical flamenco sound into ‘normal’ verse-chorus forms, resulting in wonderfully atmospheric summer vibes.

With several studio albums to his name, Marnix and his band Holandaluz have matured into a respected act, regularly appearing at festivals and venues such as Surfana, Bevrijdingspop, Stukafest, Groovy Classic, and Woodstock ’69, the most beloved beach bar in Bloemendaal.
