The collective Mèraque (founded by Jorick Bronius and Martin Grozdanoski) is based in Amsterdam, but its musical roots are all over the world.

Mèraque stems from a passion for music from the Balkans and curiosity about what happens when you mix it with influences from South America and the Middle East. Let yourself be carried away by the energetic percussion, lively electronics, the Arabic oud and melancholic accents of the clarinet. All these elements merge into enchanting live sets full of improvisation.
