Experience the magic of outdoor cinema at Pllek, with the best view of the skyline of Amsterdam. Every Tuesday evening – ’til the end of September – we show the most impressive, moving and controversial movies on our city beach on the NDSM-wharf. On a beach chair with a drink in your hand and with headphones on, you’ll be sucked into the big screen.

The non-fictional Irish band Kneecap features as themselves in this fictional up-tempo biopic.

KNEECAP AT PLLEK

Two drug-dealing street kids form an unlikely alliance with a seemingly decent music teacher, naming themselves after the notorious kneecappings in their hometown of Belfast. Kneecap rails against the establishment in Irish, emerging as the unlikely figureheads of a civil rights movement to save their native Irish language. Meanwhile, the brash, anarchist trio must contend with police, paramilitaries, and politicians intent on silencing them.
